Cloud meets the real world

Jason Stamper, CBR editor, talks to Nick Drabble, cloud leader in IBM's Software Group. The discussion starts with the kinds of cloud adoption IBM is seeing among its customers - public, private or hybrid - and whether the firm is seeing companies moving through a fairly standard pattern of cloud adoption.

Drabble then talks about some of the perceived drawbacks of cloud, for example concerns around security and governance, and also performance.

The latter part of the interview looks at whether cloud really can help organisations to do more with less, and Drabble gives several examples of how cloud computing has helped companies to do just that.
